Calm.com

Calm.com is a fun, easy and unique way to meditate or relax. It has a very homey feel to it perhaps cause its design resembles a lot of websites or applications that are used in our daily routine such as Facebook,Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc. The moment you enter this website relaxing meditation music starts playing and the whole background consists of a nature photograph! The website provides a gallery of photographs you can choose from depending on your mood as well as a song list. On the left side you can see timed meditation programs and alarm clock timers that way you can listen to some music while taking a nap.

Longwood Gardens.

Longwood Gardens have endless things to see and honestly the reason I'm mentioning their website is not because i think its one of the most well done website layouts, but because of its simplicity. In a simple layout with lots of good images, they manage to include all of their events and gardens without making it confusing to the viewer!

Interesting Layout on Organic Product Website.

While searching the internet for some new body care products i stumbled on "Nourish Organic" an all natural body care products company. The layout is simple and eye-catching " a combination i really appreciate". The web designer has successfully gave us an organic and natural feel. A simple raspberry pattern is used as a background throughout and the only other design we see are the images of the product "witch are amazing ". The web designer new that he/she didn't need to add to much because the packaging is interesting its self.

Typography & Graphics

Major Lazer is an electronic music project! Their music might be a bit extreme for some people however their music videos always include an good amount of graphics that catch my eye.I wanted to share this particular music video because i like the way Typography and Graphics work so good together.

First Post.

So for my first post i would like to introduce the online portfolio of Graphic Designer Bethany Heck named "heckhouse.com".She graduate in Graphic Design from Auburn University. Her work has been featured in New York Magazine, the New Yorker, Wired and several other international publications. The reason I chose to share her website on my blog is because of how beautifully designed it is. She uses three typefaces that work well together and the way she displays and introduces her work is interesting not only because of the art but because of the placement. She managed to grab my attention without me even knowing what the website was about and i think that is what i wish to accomplish.

Some examples of her work.
